Party Like It's 1789


I've been saying the Tories have been partying like it's 1779. They're not even crass utilitarians like Thatcher was. Too progressive.

That would make riots these a revisit of the Gordon Riots of 1780. Then on to 1789, only this time on the right side of history? Wilkes and Liberty!
