“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Vegan Update: I Feel Good
(1) I feel more alive. I know it's hard to quantify that stuff but I have a zest for not being dead yet that is higher than it has been in quite a while.
(2) Traveling is not a nightmare. Now that heavy cream and globs of molten sausage are off the menu, I don't feel like I'm putting my life at risk.
(3) Not harming so many lifeforms is a huge plus. It's one of the only things someone without a ton of money can do for her or his fellow coexistents.
