“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

I'll Be Reading the Audiobook of The Stuff of Life

Finally! To be honest I'm not fond of the people from central casting who've been reading my audiobooks thus far, and anyone who wishes to have me re-record them is most welcome. Listen to my BBC Radio 4 series, The End of the World Has Already Happened: face it, I do have a lovely radio voice. I do. I'm not bragging because it's just how I sound, it's an accident.

People come up to me in lunch queues and say that...
