"We Don't Have Time for This"

This hurts really bad. I know a tiny bit how they must feel given the stigmatization of my schizophrenic brother.

Similar incident up here (fairly recently) too. Cops going apeshit on a bus, killing a young man.
Time was the issue. I remember a letter to the editor about an incident a couple decades ago, in which the police took all day to disarm a young man. Time. Getting to a point of understanding and peace.
I say to my students, "these poems aren't text messages, so slow the fuck down."
Well, not exactly like that... but that's the gist.
