“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Down with Pundits 2.0

...so the BBC have just discovered Nate Silver, two days too late. I really am quite mad about all of this. Mark Mardell, their US correspondent, was clearly rolled by the Beltway politicking and punditry.

And in the Times of London today, a charming piece about how people who didn't vote for Obama have been humiliated. Why? How? But non-whites, perchance? For fuck's sake. It's time to grow up everybody.

And time to stop listening to the right wing "pundits." Seriously, they should all be fired. No one would survive that level of inaccuracy in my job, or as a firefighter, or as a nurse.
