“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

I don´t live in America and, as far as my experience goes, I don´t encounter many people that don´t believe the planet is getting warmer as a result of human impact. what I see is people that either expect the results of global warming to ´really begin´ in some unspecified future (instead of acknowledging the weird stuff that is already happening all over, or people who feel overwhelmed and impotent, unable to do anything that would have ´real results´, therefore can´t be bothered to even try to think about the situation.

The hilarious part was the clip from Fox "news". They didn't really SAY anything, they just sneered some 12th-grade irony and frat humor and went nyuk-nyuk-nyuk. Too bad a fairly good chunk of Fox's viewers will take this as the pinnacle of sophisticated skepticism.
