“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Paperback Ecological Thought
That didn't take long. I think Harvard likes to wait on paperbacking with some of its titles, thinking that they will sell okay as hardbacks, and The Ecological Thought did that for sure. But today I'm happy to announce that there will be a paperback version (and thus a cheaper option—including for myself!).

hey Mr Morton,
i'm a french reader of yours...And I was wondering if there were some french translations to come of your books (EwN and The ET)?
I'd be glad if it happened, it would deeply help me in understanding your works and philosophy, since my english is getting worse and worse with the times...But in a way reading your books in english helped me to get back some sort of interest in english!
If you search a french editor to publish it, i know one that would be great : the name is "MF", and it has a section dedicated to ecosophy. Here is the internet page : http://www.editions-mf.com/spip.php?rubrique11
Finally, i don't know if you read french easily, but i'd like to introduce you a blog that a friend of mine and me work on : it's called "communisme écosophique". It's quite young for now, there are not a lot of texts, but, it will grow taller in the future. Here is the link, if your interested : http://communisme-ecosophique.revolublog.com/
well, thanks for all,
bye!
Antoine
That is great news. I keep checking your book out from the library, and because there is some confusion about if I am faculty or staff, I never know how long I have your book for. So, buying a paperback version for myself would solve all sorts of problems.
Dear Antoine, that's very interesting. I shall have a think about this. Thanks so much for your kindness.
