“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

The Xenotext: Christian Bok DNA poetry
Christian Bok wrote some poetry in bacterial DNA. Extremophile bacterial DNA that might outlast humans by many millions of years (Deinococcus radiodurans). The link above is to a radio show about it. HT David Reid. Bok's essay about it here.
The DNA sequence reads: “Any style of life is prim...”
This causes the bacterial DNA to respond: “The faery is rosy of glow...”
