Dark Ecology Day 2

Sorry for being so slow--busy busy life! But look at this. Dmitry Morozov's Lesophon. It was wonderful to find it. We were given little radios and had to to tune them until we found the music...then walk towards the putative music location...which you will see in the imagery here.

Wonderful microtonal bending in the sound...

  1. Beauteous.

Parts echo, literally, tectonic shifts in plates and time. It might encompass the aural dissonance of man's world going under as if the human are all Leo and Kate on the set of Titanic. Somehow I project trickling water and the sound of dryness onto this virtual space.

Not sure I have all the tools to unpack this one, and it might be what I do not hear.

What is with the Dan Flavin-esque image on the cathode screen and the minimal Karen Armitage meets porn dungeon set? Is les-phone about signals and (un)written words from the German lesen?
