Licorice

An enormousness of it has been bought by me. Including some very fancy stuff in Copenhagen airport, that paradise of consumerism.

I ate so much in Norway! All the salty kinds I could get my hands on!

It was so good to chew some before my lecture. Better than coffee, especially in the evening. Somehow caffeine can slow me down in the evening--I think sometimes that happens with people???

  1. Coffee is actually like a sedative in the evenings, IMHO. Very weird.
I hear Finland specializes in salty weird-ass licorice too.
Going there in May. I'll bring send some to you, if you plough through your enormous batch by then.

  2. Let us know if you see any Trolls in Norway? We are already under the domination of the Elfves here in NYC. I remember the Finnish Sambo licorice being totally different than the American licorice which has way too much sugar. Enjoy and please post the talk.

  3. Was looking for hyperobjects and found licorice! "Not everybody likes licorice, but the people who like licorice really like licorice.” Jerry Garcia on Grateful Dead fans.
Maybe a relation between objects and the acceleration of history: can't find sen-sen or the short, solid licorice cigars (like biting off a chaw of tobacco) of my youth anymore.
