Thank you thank you thank you Chris Schaberg. This talk actually is Dark Ecology at about a third of its length.
Here is his very very nice intro. Sorry I only switched on the recorder a moment in.
Books are all different. Wouldn't it be awful if they had to follow some format that was the same every time? So for whatever reason, this is the shape of it.
A “slim volume” lol.
My idea is to put together an accompanying website (thank you Rice in advance!) that showcases the music about dark ecology that many people have been doing for about two years (hey Blood Wedding and Mills College extraordinary people!). There was a lot of visual art in Hyperobjects. For some reason this is all about music.
very cool. So what about the Bushmen culture being 90% of human history and 90% of the males trained to be energy healers. What about all human cultures using 1-4-5 music intervals as the secret of trance healing - it goes before language. I got some books on this I wrote - innersoundqigong.blogspot.com I did a masters degree in political ecology at U of MN, former earth first! activist, etc. but then I met a Taoist qigong master from China. So your point about awareness not being mindfulness - and the moibus strip - I got into that a bit in my masters thesis "Epicenters of Justice: Radical ecology, music theory and sound-current nondualism" 2000. But I made an error - it was not radical enough. Then I realized that the Tai-Chi symbol is not a fractal. Strange loops as fractals still use symmetric Western math but the Tai-Chi and the three gunas of India are from the 1-4-5 music intervals as the "infinite spiral of fifths" - non-commutative complementary opposites from before language. My blog gives more details.
