This trait of right wing ideology seems to be to reproduce the Aristotelian default ontology of substances decorated with accidents. Being poor is an attribute of a substance called “bad or lazy person.” William Egginton (Johns Hopkins) is really onto something IMO.
Before too long OOO will contribute to changing all this.
