68 000 words. I'm moving slowly backwards through my database, looking at my notes. Each time I find one I look for places in the book that would be help by it. Then I start to work it in. This then leads to further expansion, cuts, and citations. It's much slower than the rough hewing phase that
Hyperobjects is undergoing. But I think this might be a good thing: it's evidence that the book has achieved a certain level of stability. I'm also quite surprised at how many of the ideas in the notes are already in there. This is also a good sign, somehow.
