Good to see mention of Taku Unami here. A few years ago, on tour with Mark Wastell, the two stayed over with us one night. Lots of British music sampled by Taku. When out on a local walk round this little Derbyshire village, Taku was collecting a whole series of very brief video takes. He was picking out objects to film that I was totally blind to on my daily walks. This reminds me of what you have said recently of the hyperness of ordinary objects to the traveller. I am now looking to find a way into that zone in my own locale. One other memory is of Taku wanting to sample the local fish and chips dinner. Unfortunately, not the best.
Thanks for Link Tim,
