You Only Die Twice: Egypt, Reagan, Zombies

Bill Benzon has this excellent post up about Žižek's words on Al-Jazeera. It's an argument he's often made: sometimes you don't realize you're dead, like Wil-E Coyote suspended in mid-air. (Benzon is looking at you, Mubarak.)

Similarly, Reagan died in 2008 when Lehman tanked. Some people still go around as if he were alive. They call themselves the Tea Party. I call them Reaganzombies. I truly believe their batteries only last 1.5 years longer.
