“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Thatcher's Not Dead

I always thought something had died in her a way back from 1979. So even while she was Prime Minister she was something like a zombie: relentless, single minded Friedman-ism pursuing its autoimmunity functions in the time of AIDS.

That voice.

And of course, her policies are still shambling about.

Let us not forget the Season 3 Spitting Image portrayal of Thatcher as a geiger-esque alien. It has stuck with me for a long time.
