That Toni Basil Video

Thanks guys but I already know about color separation overlay (“chroma key”). What I want to know is, what is the computer platform that is producing the colors and other graphics in the videos (see the previous post)?

Hey Tim,

It was probably something like The Grass Valley Systems Video Switcher. These were introduced in 1969 an included a number of built in wipes/effects/chroma key abilities. The following website has some photos from a dallas TV station. Lots of TV stations and schools use these. We used an early 70's one at my high school.
