“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Facing down the Reaganzombies

No taxation without representation! And vice versa!

With this debt ceiling farce, Obama is managing to stare down the Reaganzombies. He's got them to repeat again and again how they don't like poor people and so on. And yesterday he seemingly got them to admit that they would rather tax people than have the country go bankrupt!

So would the left rubberneckers of the society of the spectacle, who want him to shout and scream and be their cartoon Super Negro, please kindly shut the fuck up for a moment and let him do his job? He's neutralizing thirty years of crap here.
